Welwyn Hatfield Residents Talk

Could you help us share information in your community?

There are always new ways the community can get involved and assist us without putting in much effort.

Community champions are very useful at passing on information to their networks, verbally and through social media.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a huge impact on everyone here in Hertfordshire but it has brought the community of Welwyn Hatfield a little closer together online in community groups and at home in the local neighbourhood. We want to make sure our residents stay up to date with the latest Public Heath Hertfordshire information including advice from Public Health England and the NHS.

You can volunteer as an individual wanting to make a difference in their community, neighbourhood or someone who works for an organisation and has contact with a particular community group.

Role of the COVID-19 Information Champion Volunteer:

  • Receive the latest Public Health information briefing about COVID-19 directly from us
  • Share this information with anyone in your community and with those who are well connected
  • Feedback on responses towards the briefings
  • Ask questions on behalf of yourself and others
  • Sign up and adhere to Code of Conduct

About our volunteers – We need organisations and individuals who

  • Want to help in the community
  • Have good social skills and are ready to listen
  • Can give and receive feedback
  • Are reliable and dependable
  • Live in Hertfordshire
