Community Transport
The Welwyn Hatfield Community Transport Scheme is funded by Herts County Council, Hertforshire NHS and Welwyn Hatfield Council and was set up to provide transport for people who cannot use public transport. Our customers are mainly older people or people with illness or disability that prevents them from using public transport easily. Our drivers are local volunteers who are vetted by us and who give part of their time to community work in the area. Transport is for: medical appointments; support groups; day centres; visits to sick relatives or friends. Getting out and about can be very difficult for many people.
Criminal Record Bureau (CRB) Checks
To comply with the law all organisations who work with vulnerable adults and children need to be aware that staff and volunteers must be screened. Our CRB check service is available to anyone who may need to be checked. Please note rates may vary if you are not a member. For more information please email Alison.

We provide a range of services to support and develop people and teams. We also provide information and support on charitable and legal issues so why not get in touch to find out more about what we offer.
Web Site Design Service
This WHCVS web site is maintained by a volunteer at WHCVS who also maintains the Kaleidoscope Enterprise web sites. If you are a member organisation of WHCVS and would benefit from a web site to promote your organisation then our Web Site Design Service might be for you. Because the service is for charitable and voluntary organisations the price will not be prohibitive and will be subject to discussion. In the first instance please contact WHCVS Manager, Carmen Dillon, on 01707 274861.
