Black History Month October 2024 – What to look out for

October is Black History Month in the UK, It’s an annual focus on raising awareness about the often overlooked or underrepresented aspects of Black history, culture and heritage. Various events, exhibitions, performances, films, workshops, and educational activities and more are organised across the UK inviting everyone, to learn, appreciate, and engage with the rich and diverse heritage of Black Britons.

Black History Month UK’s theme this year is “Reclaiming Narratives.” Recognising and correcting the narratives of Black history and culture. This includes correcting historical inaccuracies and showcasing the untold success stories.
