Welwyn Hatfield, Let’s get digital!

Technology is forever changing and keeping up with smart phones, computers and tablets can sometimes be challenging. Our volunteer Digital Champions are here to help; to put you at ease while you manoeuvre your way around your device. This could be your first time setting up, adding new software or apps and even zoom calling loved ones. It’s never too late to learn a new skill and we would like you to feel as comfortable as possible; so let’s get digital together. To access the service or sign up as a volunteer, please get in touch. It was extremely well organised, people were really please to be getting their jab

New Volunteer Terry had his first shift at the large Vaccination centre at the Roche Pharmaceuticals Building in Shire Park, Welwyn Garden City last week. He was very keen to get started and dropped us a little message to let us know how it went. Terry said “It was extremely well organised; people were really please to be getting their jab and there were loads of thumbs up and smiles. Numbers were lower than hoped, but I am sure that will build up. Please pass on my thanks to all concerned. I have two sessions booked for next week and looking forward to it.” We’re glad his first day went smoothly and he is looking forward to the next. We thank him for his all of his support and think his colour coordination is spot on.

We have been receiving a lot of positive messages about our volunteers from the medical staff and community. We have also heard from our volunteers about their experiences volunteering at vaccination centres and testing sites throughout Hertfordshire. We wouldn’t be able to the help the wider community without there commitment, care and dedication and we are extremely grateful to have you as team.
