Challenge Accepted – The London to Brighton Cycle Ride For Potential Kids

Two mums from Hatfield have taken on the challenge to enter the London to Brighton Cycle Ride to raising money for our member organisation Potential Kids. Maxine Ellis and Angela Dillon have been training hard around Stanborough Lakes and Panshanger in Welwyn Garden City, hoping to be able to complete the 55 mile route on 11th September.

We will finish it! even if it means crawling over the line with the bikes in tow

Potential kids is an award winning charity based in Welwyn/Hatfield providing learning, social and sports opportunities to Neurodiverse children/ young people (Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Tourette syndrome amongst other conditions)

The provide a safe and supportive environment which actively encourages everyone to be themselves. This aids in increasing their confidence, self esteem and help friendships to grow whilst reducing social isolation.

They provide a wide variety of activity sessions but keep the number of attendees small enough to reduce social anxieties and fears.

These two wonderful mums welcome spectators to cheer them along the route and they also welcome encouragement through sponsorship on their Just Giving page; all proceeds will be donated to Potential Kids so they can continue to provide fun activities for children.

PK are so grateful to Angela and Maxine for choosing us to raise funds for, on this awesome challenge.
