Those living with or without diagnosis are welcome.

In December, they ran their first Carers Respite Service at Friendship House offering up to 10 clients a 4 hour free activity programme with hot lunch and their carers, 4 hours of free respite. This group will run once a month and is currently exclusive to those who attend our weekly groups.

Health Walks – Lets Strut Throughout 2024

Health Walks fantastic volunteers are supporting more than 1,500 individuals to participate in 75 free and sociable walks across the county.

So far 330 new walkers have joined since April!

Do you need some extra support?

NHS Healthy Start provides families with fruit, vegetables and milk worth £220 a year, plus free vitamins to help pregnant and breastfeeding women and growing children.

If you are more than 10 weeks pregnant or have a child under four years old, and you receive certain benefits, you could be entitled to a Healthy Start prepaid card worth £4.25 per week, to spend on healthy food and milk. Previous voucher recipients must re-apply to continue getting help. Check your eligibility and apply at

Disabled Children: a legal handbook

An accessible guide to the legal rights of disabled children and their families in England. There are twelve chapters within the handbook on topics including: education; health; children’s services; transition into adulthood; housing; carers and welfare benefits.

The handbook is essential for families of disabled children, their advocates, professionals and practitioners in voluntary, independent or statutory services as well as lawyers, social & health care professionals, students and academics.

Spot the Signs and Save a Life Training

A fully funded 1 hour session – designed for GP’s and Primary Care Network employees in Herts who work with adults.

The training provides an introduction to:

  • Increase awareness and knowledge
  • Make you feel more confident in spotting signs of someone feeling suicidal
  • Introduce practical steps about what actions you may take if you notice someone is distressed
