HertsMSP Training Session: County Lines Methodologies
May 24, 2021 @ 9:00 AM - 11:00 PM

About this event
In collaboration with the National County Lines Coordination Centre (NCLCC) Regional Coordinator, the Hertfordshire Modern Slavery Partnership (HMSP) will deliver a free training session on county lines methodologies and modern slavery for local stakeholders working with adults and children in Hertfordshire.
The Issue: Modern Slavery and County Lines
County Lines is a term used to describe gangs and organised criminal networks that are involved in exporting illegal drugs into one or more importing areas within the UK, using dedicated mobile phone lines or other form of ‘deal line’. Perpetrators are known to exploit children, young people and vulnerable adults to move, manufacture and store drugs, as well as money through deception, coercion, intimidation, violence (including sexual violence) and weapons. This exploitation is a form of modern slavery covered by the Modern Slavery Act within the UK.
