Safer Street Community Day
June 4, 2024 @ 1:30 PM - 4:30 PM

Part of the ongoing Safer Streets project, this event will take place in Goldings Crescent, Hatfield between 1.30pm and 4.30pm on Tuesday 4 June.
The Safer Streets project is a multi-agency initiative that aims to reduce reports of vehicle crime, county line drug dealing, criminal damage and associated anti-social behaviour. It focuses on hotspot areas in Hatfield* and measures include upgraded CCTV along with regular patrols (Operation Oarlock).
A wide variety of local partners from the local Community Safety Partnership** are involved in the project including Hertfordshire Police & Crime Commissioner, Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council and housing providers.
“The event in Goldings Crescent will give the community a chance to speak to us and our partners about the project. We’ll be providing crime prevention advice to locals and encouraging them to sign up to our new community messaging platform, Herts Connected
We’re working really hard to tackle criminality in the area and you may have already spotted us out and about on our Operation Oarlock patrols. This is another opportunity for you to say hello and tell us your thoughts on the work we are doing. Please do come along as we want the public to be involved in the project. We want to know your views as it helps us to target our activity in the right places.”
*The project focuses on Goldings House, Goldings Crescent, Link Close, Wood Close, Wood Vale, Deerswood Avenue, Northdown Road, Garden Avenue, Roe Green Lane and St Albans Road West.
