The students’ Community Fridge takes a donation

The Welwyn Hatfield CVS are pleased to be involved with this community partnership supporting students at the University of Hertfordshire with food. The Cooprative Food Store in Bishops Rise and Brookman’s Park donate food which is taken to the Community Fridge on Wednesdays and is available to all students. We’re hoping other supermarkets will come on board. If your supermarket would like to support the Community Fridge please get in touch with us at E: office@whcvs.org.uk

Volunteers helping as stewards at Hertfordshire vaccination and testing centres

We have been receiving a lot of positive messages about our volunteers from the medical staff and community. We have also heard from our volunteers about their experiences volunteering at vaccination centres and testing sites throughout Hertfordshire. We wouldn’t be able to the help the wider community without there commitment, care and dedication and we are extremely grateful to have you as team.

We are looking for people to take part in the hit Channel 5 TV cleaning/decluttering series – Filthy House SOS – and we’re looking to spread the word to find people who might need a little bit of help tidying or cleaning up their homes.  Channel 5’s and 5star’s hit cleaning show is looking for people across the UK who are in need of some professional help keeping their homes clean and tidy. Filming in December this year until February 2021, this series sees expert cleaners clean each home in just four days and then gives each of our participants tips to keep their home clean for good.
