Become a Digital Champion

Digital Champions volunteers are tech savvy and able to offer their time to assist one of our clients with a range of technical problems. They show them how to use digital communication technology we now as society rely on.

Donate your reusable tech

We are looking for redundant IT equipment -computers, laptops, mobile phones and tablets.

All donated items will be cleaned, refurbish with data the removed and the tech reconfigured/reconditioned. We will then arrange for items to be donated to individuals in our community who are digitally isolated.

Staying Connected

Staying Connected is a county wide Digital Inclusion project developed by a partnership of eight Hertfordshire based voluntary sector infrastructure organisations -Community Help Hertfordshire.

In the Welwyn Hatfield borough, the project provides assistance to residents who may be struggling with using new technology and who may feel isolated from society as a result.

Welwyn Hatfield, Let’s get digital!

Technology is forever changing and keeping up with smart phones, computers and tablets can sometimes be challenging. Our volunteer Digital Champions are here to help; to put you at ease while you manoeuvre your way around your device. This could be your first time setting up, adding new software or apps and even zoom calling loved ones. It’s never too late to learn a new skill and we would like you to feel as comfortable as possible; so let’s get digital together. To access the service or sign up as a volunteer, please get in touch. Digital Inclusion Project

The Welwyn Hatfield Community & Voluntary Service is working with other voluntary services in the county for the Digital Inclusion Project. The main focus of this project is to help those who are mostly excluded from support services and social circles resulting from a lack of digital ability. If you have a laptop, computer, notebook or tablet you would like to donate to the project, please get in touch with us. Email: c.dillon@whcvs.org.uk or call 01707 274 861
