The HAPpy Camps Easter 2022 fund is open

Herts Sports Partnership’s HAPpy Camps Easter 2022 fund is open. The funding has been made available by the Department for Education to support children from disadvantaged backgrounds who are less likely to access organised out of holiday activities and are more likely to experience social isolation and holiday hunger.

The fund is open to voluntary and community groups, schools, district councils and private providers where their activities meet the charitable objectives of the fund. This includes existing providers who can expand their provision and also groups who can provide innovative and specialised activities. Access to free relevant training will be offered in support of the programme to successful applicants.

Programmes can be led by a range of organisations, from across the public, private and community and voluntary sectors, but they must offer a range of cateringsports and physical activity and enrichment activities.

The deadline for Easter applications is midnight on Monday 31 January.

Activities during the delivery period:

  • minimum of 4 hours a day
  • activities for 1day or up to a maximum of 9 days

The delivery period for Easter school holidays will fall over two weeks as follows:

  • Week 1: 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8 April – 5 days
  • Week 2: 11, 12, 13 & 14 April – 4 days
