On Wednesday 1st June and the 1st day of Volunteers Week, the Welwyn Hatfield Community and Voluntary Service and the Volunteer Centre Welwyn Hatfield, held a joint event to celebrate the achievements of their volunteers and the Queens Platinum Jubilee.
Due to the pandemic, it was a long awaited, joyous occasion attended by volunteers from the:
- Welwyn Hatfield CVS Community Car Scheme
- Community Help Hertfordshire – Welwyn Hatfield
- Community Information Champions
- Blooming Marvellous Gardening Scheme
- Love Welwyn Hatfield
- Let’s Chat
Also attending were the staff, trustees and the Major of Welwyn Hatfield.
The day started off a little wet but this didn’t stop the volunteers arriving, networking and enjoying some lovely food.
It was smiles all round as they collected their certificates and talked about the work they have been doing in the community over the past year.
